The Team

Rachel May – Founder and Director
Rachel has worked in sport for Development since 2014. Previously as Partnerships Manager for the Homeless World Cup Foundation and Project Manager for ENGSO. Rachel grew up in Aberdeenshire and was raised hiking – she loves snow and mountain-based sports. Rachel is qualified as a UK Mountain Leader and enjoys sharing new experiences with people outside.

Louis Waterman-Evans – Co-director
Louis volunteers as a Co-director for Mhor Outdoor. From its beginnings he has given his time to go on support the realisation of Mhor Outdoor by – meeting Rachel for walking meetings and – asking good questions, offering clever ideas and providing a listening ear.

Emily Bowie – Project Coordinator
Emily has recently joined the Mhor Outdoor team as a Project Coordinator. She is the Founder of the Scottish Outdoors Young Team, an outdoors community for young people living in Scotland, and is passionate about breaking down barriers to participation in the outdoors. Having grown up in the Trossachs, Emily has a love for spending time outdoors and is a qualified UK Mountain Leader.

Communications Volunteer
We are looking to have skilled communications volunteers who can help with story-telling of individual’s experiences of overcoming adversity, developing outdoor skills or climbing mountains for the first time. Requirements for the role:
- Social media, photography, writing or videography skills
- Interview skills
- Able to communicate and present people in a sensitive and empowering way
- Interested in improving access to the outdoors.
- Fitness and skills to spend a full day hiking
